Rev. Juyeon Jeon, Pastor

The people of Epworth United Methodist Church are privileged to be part of helping to bring about the Kingdom of peace and justice here on earth. You may already know that our Chicago United Methodist Church is home to a warming center for homeless men, as well as several other community groups. We are committed to spreading the unconditional and inclusive love of Jesus Christ.

Epworth United Methodist Church participates in the Reconciling Ministries Network. All are welcome here! Whatever gender, race, economic status, sexual orientation, condition of ableness, etc., we welcome you as a beloved child of God!

A part of Chicago’s Edgewater, Uptown, and Andersonville communities, Epworth UMC is conveniently located at the corner of North Kenmore and Berwyn. It is just two blocks east of the Berwyn stop on the CTA Red Line, and easily accessible via the Foster, Broadway, Outer Drive, and Sheridan buses.

Epworth UMC rejoices that the 65-bed men’s shelter will remain on our campus. For twenty-four years, Epworth has hosted the overnight shelter as a vital part of our outreach to the Edgewater and Andersonville neighborhoods. We are pleased to ┬ápartner with Cornerstone Community Outreach in this work since 2009. Find out how you can make financial contributions to this important ministry by calling the church office at 773-561-6422.
