Cornerstone Men’s Shelter

Epworth UMC has partnered with Cornerstone Community Outreach (CCO) to provide shelter for 65 single men every night. Housed in our gymnasium, the CCO staff and manage the shelter. At the Epworth location, the men receive “wrap-around services” which include, personalized case management, referrals, and advocacy from CCO staff and partner agencies.

Cornerstone Community Outreach (CCO), a Illinois not-for-profit organization, was founded in 1989 to raise the quality of life for low-income residents in the Uptown area of Chicago. During the last twenty-four years, CCO’s programs have expanded to serve nearly 500 men, women and children daily. With Cornerstone’s help these families and individuals can begin to build a new life, one step at a time.

The men are offered a nutritious dinner and breakfast, bathroom facilities and showers. For more information about  Cornerstone Community Outreach, check out their website:
